Set the size of the deck
Two to twenty cards per generation. A short set is easier to review honestly than a hundred cards you will never open twice.
Anchors are enforced, not decorative
Every card stores a paragraph index and a quote from it. RecallQuill checks the quote against the paragraph and refuses to save any card whose citation does not hold.
Ratings that change the interval
Again brings a card back in ten minutes and again later in the same pass. Hard lengthens the interval gently. Known moves through one day, three days, and then an interval multiplied by the card's ease factor.

Current limits, stated up front
Before you paste:
- One generation accepts up to 30,000 characters, and uploads are capped at 1 MB, so long material is studied in sections.
- Sources are UTF-8 text and Markdown you paste or upload — not PDF, OCR, image, video, audio, or office documents.
- A source anchor shows where wording came from; it does not prove a card is a good question. Read the anchor and edit the card.
Questions about generating flashcards from notes
How many flashcards will I get?
Between two and twenty per generation, whichever you choose. If the source is too short to support the requested number, you get as many as it can genuinely support rather than padded cards.
What does the verbatim anchor actually guarantee?
That the quoted wording exists in the paragraph the card cites. It does not guarantee the card asks a useful question or that the source itself is correct, which is why every card stays editable.
Is the deck saved before I study it?
Yes. Generation writes the deck to your account before the study view opens, and a generation record is written before the model call even starts.
Can I delete a deck later?
Yes, from the library, and it takes the deck's review history with it. You can also delete the entire account, which removes the cloud library, generation records, and the browser recovery copy.
