What happens to your notes between pasting them and studying them.
Paste directly or upload a UTF-8 .txt or .md file. The source is split on blank lines, or on sentences when the notes are one continuous block, and the count of sections you see matches what the generator works from.
Each card names the paragraph it came from and keeps a short verbatim quote from it. Cards that cannot point at real wording in a real paragraph are not saved.
Rewrite a clumsy prompt or tighten an answer whenever you like. The paragraph link and the verbatim anchor stay locked to the edit, so the card can still be checked afterwards.
Deck exports are JSON containing the source, the cards, the schedules, the review history, and the generation provenance. Imports are validated and previewed before anything is written.
From a notes file to a first review in one sitting.
Upload a .txt or .md file up to 1 MB, or paste up to 30,000 characters. Files over the generation limit are refused with the exact character count rather than silently truncated.
Set the card count between two and twenty and generate. Read each cited paragraph beside the card, and edit anything the split handled awkwardly.
Rate a card Again, Hard, or Known and RecallQuill sets the next due date, records the interval, and shows how many cards are due across the whole library.
The honest edges of this workflow:
UTF-8 plain text and Markdown, pasted or uploaded as .txt or .md. PDF, OCR, images, audio, video, and office documents are not supported, so anything in those formats has to be copied out as text first.
Blank lines separate paragraphs. If the notes arrive as one unbroken block, RecallQuill falls back to sentence boundaries. Very short fragments are skipped, and the builder shows the resulting section count before you generate.
